Description

We are seeking a Digital Platform Specialist to join a global organization headquartered in Geneva. This is a strategic in-house role focused on designing, implementing, and operating a modern data lakehouse platform that powers data-driven decisions at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable data lakehouse architecture (Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, Apache Flink)
  • Build and manage real-time data ingestion pipelines (Apache NiFi, Kafka)
  • Optimize and maintain high-performance databases (SingleStore)
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines for seamless data platform deployments
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security across the stack
  • Enable self-service access for internal data consumers and analysts
  • Monitor, optimize, and scale the platform for performance and resilience

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data platform or infrastructure engineering
  • Hands-on expertise with: Apache Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Flink, Iceberg, and singleStore
  • Strong programming in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Solid SQL and data modeling knowledge
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Strong grasp of streaming architectures and the data lifecycle
  • Excellent communication in English (French or Spanish is a plus)
  • Proactive, autonomous, and comfortable in multicultural environments
  • Must have valid Swiss work permit or EU citizenship
